About CitySuites
CitySuites is a small 22 -room, brand-new motel accommodation located in North York. At the intersection of Jane Street and Gordon Mackay Rd, we are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized full-time receptionist to help provide guests with a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out
- Respond to guest questions and requests in person, by telephone, and by email
- Manage reservations and update guest information in the hotel’s booking system
- Provide guests with information about the property and surrounding neighbourhood
- Maintain accurate front-desk records
- Process guest payments and security deposits
- Communicate guest requests or concerns to management and housekeeping
- Monitor arrivals, departures, room status, and special requests
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and professional
- Assist with general administrative tasks
- Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns or unexpected situations
- Follow hotel procedures relating to guest privacy, payments, keys/access, and safety
Qualifications
- Previous reception, customer-service, or administrative experience is preferred
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent spoken and written English is required
- Comfortable working independently
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable using computers, email, and reservation software
- Able to handle private guest information professionally
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
Experience with a hotel property-management system is an asset, but training will be provided.
Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position of approximately 40 hours per week. The regular shift will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. Applicants must be available for the posted schedule, including applicable weekend or evening coverage.
