Wasabi Sushi & Grill is a locally-owned Japanese restaurant in Vernon offering a wide variety of sushi rolls, tempura, teriyaki dishes, and fresh sashimi.

Our goal is to deliver excellent food and service — whether it’s a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends or family.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the head cook or chef
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and other ingredients as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning as required
- Support team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
- SUSHI EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Valid Food Safe Certification (Level 1 or higher) — required
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends or evenings as needed
