Role Description
The Mover/Driver Supervisor is a part-time, on-site, hands-on role based in Fort Erie, ON. This is not a supervisory position from the sidelines. The successful candidate will regularly work on moving jobs, driving a 26' straight truck (G Class License required), working alongside the moving crew, and leading by example in the field.
This role is responsible for leading moving crews on-site and delivering a safe, efficient, and professional moving experience for every customer. The Mover/Driver Supervisor will oversee the successful execution of each move, ensure company standards are upheld, provide leadership and direction to the crew, mentor team members, and serve as the primary representative of Bob The Mover throughout the moving process. This position requires reporting to our Fort Erie office and the ability to work long days when required based on job demands.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' straight truck to and from job sites
- Lead and mentor moving crews on-site while working alongside the team, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout each move
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and provide professional communication throughout the moving process
- Handle customer payments and resolve questions or concerns on-site
- Ensure customer belongings, homes, and property are handled with care and properly protected
- Monitor job progress, timelines, and service quality during moves
- Assist with loading, unloading, and furniture assembly/disassembly using basic tools
- Support a safe, productive, and positive team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a hands-on field environment
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions on-site
- Previous moving experience is an asset
- DIY or furniture assembly experience is an asset
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed on-site and involves physical activity, including heavy lifting, loading and unloading, and walking on slippery or uneven surfaces. The role may also involve exposure to extreme temperatures and changing job site conditions.
