Job Purpose
The Journeyperson Welder is responsible for the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of pressure piping (including stainless steel), and metal components for commercial, light industrial and marine. This role ensures all welding work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.

My Tasks
- Fabricate, weld, and install pressure piping systems (including stainless steel), tanks, pressure vessels, and miscellaneous metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
- Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and grinding
- Perform SMAW and GTAW welding as required by the project
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and code requirements
- Operate welding equipment and related tools safely and efficiently
- Perform field installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
What I Bring
- Journeyperson Welder certification required
- Must obtain a Level II (FA2) or (FA3) clearance
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of welding experience in commercial or industrial environments
- Experience with pressure piping systems and fabrication considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of welding procedures, fabrication techniques, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
- Position requires travel and turnaround work within Newfoundland and Labrador
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
