Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Laborer to join our agricultural team. This role involves working outdoors in various farming activities, supporting crop production and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to the successful operation of our farm. Prior experience in horticulture or gardening is a plus, but training will be provided for specific tasks. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills in farming and land management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with harvesting and prepare crops for market using appropriate tools and techniques
- Maintain farm equipment and tools, including basic mechanical repairs when necessary
- Support plant care through hoeing and weeding as needed
- Clear fields of wood, stones and other debris
- Perform heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested produce safely and efficiently
- Grade product and monitor quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency which includes written reports
- Pack, load and unload products
Experience
- Prior experience in horticulture, or farming is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools is beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and quantities
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions is essential
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are highly valued traits

Pay: $18.08-$20.08 per hour
