We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a direct-hire position at our Heidenhain Controller facility, working steady afternoon shifts. Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenheim controls to produce high-precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to ensure accurate machining processes
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Select and operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives following lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with team members on production schedules and quality assurance processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and equipment operation
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and blueprint reading skills
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
- Experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, forklift operation, and assembly procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
- Ability to work steady afternoon shifts reliably
