Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to support various dental procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas in compliance with safety protocols.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing patient records using Maxident.
- Take impressions in an efficient manner.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with Maxident software for efficient patient management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of orthodontics and implants.
- Background in pediatrics is an advantage for working with younger patients.
