Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Used Car Salesman/woman to join our automotive dealership team. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a strong customer service orientation. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with customers, managing the sales pipeline, and closing high-end vehicle deals while providing an exceptional buying experience. Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, are highly valued to serve our diverse clientele effectively.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their vehicle needs and preferences through effective communication and active listening.
- Conduct outside sales activities, including visiting potential clients and participating in community events to generate leads.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals, including negotiation and upselling of vehicles.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent sales performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining vehicle features, and assisting with financing options.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting dealership specials and new inventory through various channels.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up schedules using organizational tools.
- Collaborate with sales management to meet or exceed sales targets and improve overall dealership performance.
- Stay informed about current market trends, competitor activities, and new vehicle features to enhance sales strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, B2B sales, or dealership environments with a focus on high-end or used vehicles.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Multilingual capabilities, particularly fluency in Spanish or other languages, are highly desirable to serve diverse customers.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple clients and follow up efficiently.
- Experience in sales management or supporting a sales team is a plus.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies related to automotive sales and familiarity with the automotive industry is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in outside sales settings as well as within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
