Job Title: CNC Plasma Cutting Operator – Heavy Fabrication

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plasma Table Operator to join a heavy industrial manufacturing team producing custom-engineered equipment and large fabricated components. This hands-on role is responsible for setting up and operating a CNC plasma table to accurately cut steel components from engineering drawings while maintaining quality, accuracy, and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate has previous experience operating a plasma burn table in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, can read blueprints independently, and has a strong understanding of material identification and precision measurement.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a CNC plasma table to cut steel components for custom industrial equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce parts to specification.
- Identify material grades, thicknesses, and sizes prior to fabrication.
- Verify completed parts using precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers and measuring tapes.
- Monitor cut quality and make machine adjustments as required.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to meet quality and delivery objectives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a CNC plasma table or plasma burn table in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience identifying material grades and steel thicknesses.
- Proficient using measuring tools including vernier calipers and measuring tapes.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime.
