Corrugated Automated Assembler Operator / Machine Operator
Location: Mississauga, ON — Tomken Road & Highway 410 area
Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required
About the Position: We are currently seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined Corrugated Automated Assembler Operator / Machine Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Mississauga.
Duties include:
Set up machines, Adjust settings, blades, and glue amounts so the machine works right. Load materials by putting large sheets of flat paper board into the machine feeder. Watch production by checking the running machine to make sure it does not jam or break. Check quality by looking at finished boxes to ensure they are strong and cut to the right size. Fix small problems such as clearing paper jams, correct misalignment and clean parts when needed. Keep records of how many boxes the machine makes each day.
This position is ideal for someone with previous experience operating production machinery who is comfortable learning machine setups and developing the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operating issues. Follow production specifications and quality standards. Identify machine abnormalities and report issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures. Assist with other general Labour production duties as required as you will be required to display flexibility and willingness to rotate on other machines as needed. Work occasional overtime when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
-Previous experience operating corrugated machinery, packaging equipment, automated assembly equipment, or similar production machinery is an asset.
-Experience with machine setup and adjustments is strongly preferred.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge and application of hand tools.
-Understanding of machine setup procedures and troubleshoot equipment issues.
-Manufacturing, production, packaging, or industrial machine operating experience.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and develop into a fully capable machine setup/operator as you will train new staff.
