As a Parts Advisor, you’re not just “selling parts.” You’re a key player in keeping equipment running, projects on track, and customers productive. You’ll be the go-to expert for parts knowledge, helping customers and internal teams find exactly what they need—often under tight timelines.
Every day is different. One moment you’re helping a technician identify a critical component, the next you’re tracking down a hard-to-find part or making sure a customer’s order is moving fast and accurately. You’ll have a direct impact on customer success and downtime reduction—your work truly keeps operations running.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the first point of contact for parts inquiries—helping customers in person, over the phone, and by email
- Use your technical curiosity to identify parts using diagrams, manuals, and systems
- Build accurate quotes and follow up to turn opportunities into sales
- Spot opportunities to recommend additional parts that improve performance and reliability
- Process orders from start to finish with speed and precision
- Keep customers informed and confident with clear communication on order status and timelines
- Track down non-stock or hard-to-find parts and coordinate fast solutions
- Work closely with suppliers to manage backorders and expedite deliveries
- Receive and organize incoming goods while ensuring accuracy and accountability
- Support inventory control through cycle counts and annual inventory
- Collaborate with Service Technicians, Sales, and the Parts team to solve problems quickly
- Maintain accurate documentation including invoices, returns, and payments
- Stay up to date on new products, bulletins, and system updates
What You Bring
- Experience in heavy equipment, crane, automotive, or industrial parts is a strong asset
- Mechanical curiosity—you like understanding how things work
- Ability to read and interpret parts manuals and diagrams
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with customers
- High attention to detail (you catch the things others miss)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory systems)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift certification is a bonus (or willingness to get certified)

Working Conditions
- Mix of counter, office, and warehouse environment
- Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and time on your feet
- Exposure to typical shop/warehouse conditions
- PPE required (including safety footwear)
- Occasional overtime during inventory or peak periods
- Local travel may be required from time to time
