Body Technician – Entry Level

KEY POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Inspect and verify parts against estimates to ensure accuracy in ordering and receipt.
- Support the dismantling, repair, and reassembly of heavy-duty and industrial equipment, including RV, glass, body, and sheet metal repairs.
- Operate, move, and drive heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist senior technicians to improve job cycle times and overall productivity.
- Perform shop equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
- Communicate proactively with management regarding additional repair needs, job challenges, or timeline impacts.
- Safely operate tools and equipment while maintaining compliance with safety, health, and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently to maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Maintain required certifications and training, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills.
- Meet physical job requirements, including heavy lifting, flexible overtime.
QUALIFICATION &
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanically inclined.
- Autobody experience considered an asset.
- Must have own tooling (sufficient to a 2nd year level )
- Able to read, write and speak in English
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of welding sheet metal structures considered an asset
- Knowledge of assemble and disassembly process is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Heavy Truck rig up considered an asset
- Ability to maintain a clean and efficient workspace
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work safely always
- Must have a positive, can do, team player attitude!
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
