Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, automotive repair knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local and long-distance freight deliveries
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Assist with freight handling, securing cargo, and ensuring proper weight distribution
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with manual operated trucks with clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong understanding of commercial driving standards and safety protocols
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance is advantageous

Additional requirements : driver must be available for on call weekend work load.
Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
