Position: Building Operator
Salary Range: $21.63 - $25.00
Property management company with over that 20 years in the industry in in need of a devoted, loyal and career minded professional to join our growing building operations team.
The Building Operator ensures that building heating, cooling, mechanical and electrical systems are maintained and operated to provide a safe, clean learning and working environment. Reports to the Team leads / Operations Manager and will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the building including general maintenance and maintaining mechanical systems and foster positive relationships with tenants, contractors and sub-contractors.
General Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate and maintain all heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical & HVAC system.
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting & drywall repairs.
- Perform all routine and preventative maintenance work on all equipment, devices and furnishings.
- Regularly lift, move and carry equipment, furniture and supplies up to 22 kg (50 lb.) alone, or if heavier, with assistance of co-workers.
- Process e-mail, maintenance requisitions, supply orders and the BAS energy management system
- Work with and monitor contractors on building maintenance and repair. Assist with government and contract inspections related to fire systems, elevators, boiler, building inspections, security system, etc.
- Practice all safety and emergency procedures.
- Communicate any building or site deficiencies to the Team Lead/Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Clean snow and ice from walkway & driveway as required.
- Share on-call duties as part of the rotation schedule, provide standby support to on-call maintenance staff as required and attend any after-hours emergencies as required.
- Provide support to the Operations Supervisor or other Property Management staff as requested
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Graduate; Post-Secondary Education is an asset.
- Experience in the property management sector is an asset.
- BES I/II or other equivalent technical designation is an asset.
- Ability to drive a vehicle with Valid driver’s license in Ontario
