Position Overview
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (primary) and Chief Executive Officer (secondary)
The Director of Finance & Administration manages the Company’s day-to-day financial operations and corporate administration. Working closely with the CFO and CEO, this role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, administration, human resources coordination, and office operations while ensuring the Company maintains strong financial controls and regulatory compliance.
The position serves as the operational leader of the finance department and plays a key role in supporting exploration, engineering, and corporate activities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
· Manage daily accounting operations.
· Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
· Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting.
· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
· Monitor expenditures against approved budgets.
Public Company Support
· Assist in preparing financial disclosure documents.
· Coordinate external audits and regulatory filings.
· Maintain supporting documentation for TSX Venture and securities compliance.
· Assist with stock option administration and insider reporting.
Administration
· Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking.
· Manage insurance, contracts, and corporate records.
· Coordinate office administration and vendor relationships.
· Support Board meetings and maintain corporate records.
Human Resources
· Coordinate employee onboarding and benefits administration.
· Maintain HR policies and personnel records.
· Support recruitment and performance review processes.
Internal Controls
· Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
· Improve accounting systems and administrative processes.
· Maintain document retention and corporate governance standards.
Leadership
· Supervise accounting and administrative staff.
· Support cross-functional teams, including geology, engineering, investor relations, and corporate development.
· Perform other duties assigned by the CFO and CEO.
Qualifications
· CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
· 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
· Experience with public companies and IFRS reporting is an asset.
· Strong proficiency with accounting software, Excel, and ERP systems.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic growth environment.
Pay: $87,781.11-$177,619.60 per year
