Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hard Chrome Plater to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing, plating, and finishing hydraulic components to precise specifications, ensuring durability and performance in demanding applications.
Duties
- Prepare pre-ground components for plating by thoroughly cleaning surfaces and masking designated areas using appropriate tapes and protective materials.
- Measure components before and after plating to verify proper chrome build-up and ensure finished parts meet required dimensional specifications, using micrometers and bore gauges
- Determine and set rectifier settings for the plating process, ensuring correct current and voltage for optimal chrome deposition.
- Inspect plated surfaces to ensure the deposited chrome is free of defects and meets quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of plating processes, measurements, and inspection results to support quality control and traceability.
- Clean and unmask components after plating in preparation for final grinding and polishing, ensuring surfaces are ready for finishing operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure plating and finishing processes meet required specifications and tolerances.
- Monitor and adjust plating bath chemistry to maintain proper operating conditions and ensure consistent coating quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized plating area, ensuring both the workspace and equipment are tidy, safe, and ready for efficient operations.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, handling components with care to prevent damage.
Pay: $17.72-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
