About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager- Cannabis will be responsible for managing and directing the sales activities within Western Canada. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, leading a team of Territory Managers and ensuring that sales and revenue targets are achieved. The manager will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales strategy & execution

Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks

Set sales targets and priorities for the sales team to meet and exceed
Team Leadership and Management
-
Recruit, train and mentor a team of sales representatives

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve sales performance
-
Foster a positive and motivating working environment focused on delivering results, while encouraging collaboration
Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with Key clients & distributors
-
Address client inquiries, concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner

Conduct regular client meetings to review performance and identify opportunities for growth
Sales Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts and performance analysis to senior management

Analyze sales data to inform business decisions and adjust sales strategies as needed

Prepare & submit sales reports, forecasts and any additional relevant documentation
Compliance

Ensure all activities comply with provincial & federal regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products

Stay informed on changing laws and regulations affecting the cannabis industry
Budget Management

Manage the Regional sales budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources

Monitor expenses and ensure they are within approved budgets
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or a related field an asset
-
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a relevant field

Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing a field sales team

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of Cannabis products and industry regulations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software

Responds positively to coaching & feedback
Other requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Willingness & ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry necessary events

Ability to pass a background check
Working Conditions

The position requires travel to various locations assigned

Work hours can vary and may include evenings & weekends to accommodate client schedules & industry events

Targeted Compensation - $95,000 - $105,000
