Shifts: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Summer Hours are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 / hour, to start, depending on experience

Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to join our mill crew. In a small operation, everyone wears a few hats. You will be involved in everything from handling raw logs to stacking finished lumber and keeping the yard running smoothly. Experience is a plus, but we are entirely willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
Key Responsibilities
● Operate or assist in operating the sawmill
● Off bear lumber, slabs, and flitches from the mill.
● Grade, sort, and stack lumber for air-drying or kiln-drying.
● Operate machinery safely Ie.) forklift, chainsaws
● Perform routine daily maintenance and cleanup to keep the mill safe and efficient.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Physical Fitness: Ability to lift to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long periods, and work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
● Reliability: You show up on time, every day, ready to work. In a small shop, if one person is missing, the whole line slows down.
● Safety-Minded: Strict adherence to safety protocols (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, chainsaw protective gear are a must).
● Team Player: Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take direction.
● First Aid certification would be preferred, but not required
● Experience with chainsaws, forklifts, and woodworking machinery
Types of duties to expect
● Clearing end chain feed of big Cans and forklifting them into lifts.
● Edging small end chain fed material and sorting them into different graded lifts
● Forklifting
● Chain sawing
● Clean up
● Assist sawmill operator as needed
