Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented jouryney man/ woman Plumber to join our great team. Here at Straight West Plumbing we do a mix of new build residential projects along with new build commercial projects. We are looking for someone who has experince in the installation of plumbing, gas-fitting, hydronic heating systems and has worked in a new build construction setting. Most of our cliental is located south west of edmonton but still in the greater edmonton area. The ideal candidate must have a valid drivers license, Journeyman plumbing ticket, and gas-fitter B ticket. The individual will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various projects, including residential and commercial construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. The Plumber will ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations, contributing to efficient and reliable plumbing operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other mechanical tools to perform precise installations and repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems efficiently using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills.
- Collaborate with team member on technical plumbing and hydronic heating system.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance within residential and or commercial settings.
- Familiarity with hydronic heating systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, hand tools usage, and basic math calculations relevant to plumbing tasks.
- Background in maintenance work related to manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous.
