This job posting is for multiple full-time, permanent Machine Operator openings to support:
- our day shift packaging operations (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), and;
- our afternoon/evening shift packaging operations. (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM).
A shift premium of $1 per hour will apply to all afternoon/evening shifts (i.e., not to training during the day shift).
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. You will ensure the continuous and efficient running of production. You should be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and within safety standards. In addition to on-the-job training, you will have many opportunities to learn and to improve your skills and knowledge. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures are carried on smoothly while complying with all company policies and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain operation of production machines to ensure efficiency, quality and safety ‘best practices’, including HACCP
- Observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions
- Work with the maintenance team to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Set up and change product materials in a quick, efficient manner
- Ensure packaging specifications meet company standards
- Complete production paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Initiate continuous improvement whenever possible
- Promote sustainability in all applicable areas
- Report food safety problems and or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actions
- Maintain GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety and quality, and be aware of the SQF (Safe Quality Food) progam.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift or move up to 30 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and orders
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
