Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Part-Time Class 1 Swing Driver based in Winnipeg. This role provides coverage across multiple divisions, offering a variety of work and schedules. Great for skills development!
Hours can vary depending on operational needs and may range from 15 to 50 hours per week.
Schedule & Work Types
Typical local work runs 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with regional routes requiring occasional overnight trips.
As a swing driver, you will be trained to support three types of work:
1. Railcar Delivery (Winnipeg – Local)
- Pick up loads from railcars at Cargo Flo and deliver to various locations in Winnipeg
- Start around 7:00 AM, finish typically 2:00–3:00 PM
- Multiple trips required to empty each railcar
- Loading and unloading by clients
2. Local Delivery (Winnipeg)
- Hauling van trailers with oil totes to local customers throughout the City of Winnipeg
- Highly physical role: frequent climbing and handling hoses
- Totes are loaded by client
3. Regional Delivery (MB & SK)
- Operating a tri-axle, multi-compartment trailer
- Deliveries across Western Manitoba and into Saskatchewan
- Occasional overnight trips (e.g., Saskatoon – typically 1–2 nights)

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles
- Complete local and regional deliveries as assigned
- Perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Work safely in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (CDL) license
- Minimum 3 years tanker driving experience
- Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Willing to be away overnight occasionally
