Duties and Responsibilities:
The Landon Pearson Centre is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrator to support the Centre’s financial and administrative operations within a university-based environment. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with institutional systems, and experienced in supporting academic or research centres. The incumbent will:
- Support day-to-day administrative operations of the Centre
- Process financial transactions, reimbursements, and invoices using university systems
- Manage purchasing, procurement, and expense reporting workflows
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
- Assist with event logistics, scheduling and minutes of Advisory Council and other meetings, and internal communications
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Director and Executive Director
Qualifications:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing and record-keeping
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
- Familiarity with procurement, travel claims, and research support processes
- Comfortable supporting faculty, researchers, and external partners
- Proficiency with institutional administrative and financial systems such as BANNER, Concur, and eShop
Education and Experience:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
- Experience working in a university or research environment
- Previous experience in a university centre, faculty, or academic unit considered an asset
