Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and well‑being within a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. In this role, you will contribute meaningfully to the growth of young learners by providing high‑quality care, intentional teaching, and positive relationship‑building.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, engage, and support children in a classroom environment while ensuring their health, safety, and overall well‑being.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Support daily routines, including meals, rest periods, transitions, and hygiene practices, in alignment with licensing standards.
- Build warm, responsive relationships with children that encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.
- Communicate professionally with families, providing updates on children’s progress, routines, and any emerging concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment that reflects program goals and supports exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive, team‑oriented atmosphere for children, families, and staff.
- Adhere to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care regulations, program policies, and best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Educator Certification – Level 1 or Level 2 (Required).
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Previous experience in an early learning or childcare setting is an asset.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development, licensing regulations, and evidence‑based practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with children and families.
- Demonstrated ability to design engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- A high level of patience, empathy, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Commitment to creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.

Pay: $15.25-$17.00 per hour
