Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods to various locations according to scheduled routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type
- Proven experience driving large trucks or commercial vehicles, with a strong emphasis on safe driving practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading processes
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining logs and documentation
- Ability to work independently over long hours and adapt to changing schedules or routes
- Physical stamina for extended periods of driving and handling cargo that may require heavy lifting or manual effort
