Job Title: Equipment Operator

Job Summary:
Equipment Operators will be responsible for operating a variety of construction equipment and perform general labour duties in a safe and timely manner. Cooperation with the Site Supervisor, crew and third parties are necessary to ensure satisfactory completion of construction work.

Essential Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Float small equipment to job site using a pickup truck and trailer.
- Operate small construction equipment such as skid steers, bobcats, rollers and mini excavators.
- Daily circle check and maintenance requirement reporting for equipment being used
- Completion of daily field ticket reports.
- Check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor
- Ensure safety of fellow workmen during construction and in compliance with applicable regulations and safety policies and procedures.
- Inform Site Supervisor any issues that need to be communicated
- Will be required to work out of town on a regular basis with overnight stays required Monday through Friday. Per Diem Supplied.
- Some weeks and days are local work
- Monday – Friday work day shift
- Occasional weekend work but minimal

Qualifications:
- DZ Drivers license is an asset
- 2 + years equipment operating experience
- Equipment operator training certificate (s) is an asset
- Previous experience in a road construction environment is required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
