Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mill Maintenance Planner to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, project management expertise, and a solid background in industrial maintenance. This role involves planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety compliance. The Mill Maintenance Planner will play a key leadership role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our mill operations through effective resource management and technical oversight.
Duties
- Develop, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance plans using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production managers, and external vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Review schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to plan maintenance activities accurately.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies to support scheduled work.
- Supervise maintenance team members, providing leadership, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the implementation of projects related to equipment upgrades or repairs, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
- Utilize PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) knowledge to troubleshoot automation issues and plan necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history for continuous improvement purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations including HVAC systems, low voltage electrical systems, and other industrial standards.
- Lead efforts in developing maintenance procedures that enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- Proven management experience with supervising teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial maintenance practices, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for planning and scheduling maintenance work.
- Mechanical knowledge including reading schematics, mechanical drawings, and understanding HVAC systems.
- Electrical experience with a focus on low voltage systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination.
- Prior experience supervising maintenance staff and managing complex projects within a manufacturing setting is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to lead critical maintenance operations that support our manufacturing excellence while fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
