Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality. The Restaurant Server plays a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficiency and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly
- Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order calculations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, food safety, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
