Job Title: Experienced Automotive Technician – 310S Licence Not Required to Apply
Freeway Motors Ltd. is looking for a mechanically skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing repair shop in Guelph.
This is not an entry-level helper position. We are looking for someone who has genuine hands-on experience repairing vehicles and can demonstrate their abilities. A valid 310S licence is not required to apply; however, applicants must be legally eligible to perform their assigned duties in Ontario. We are open to supporting the right candidate with apprenticeship registration.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical problems and recommend repairs
- Perform brakes, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
- Complete oil changes and scheduled maintenance
- Perform tire installation, balancing and rotations
- Replace engines, transmissions and other components when qualified
- Use diagnostic scanners and shop equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Clearly communicate repair findings to management
- Complete assigned work correctly and efficiently
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
- Must have your own basic automotive tools
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence preferred
- 310S licence is an asset but not required to apply
- Registered apprentices are welcome
- Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate their mechanical abilities during the interview process
