Job Overview:
The Open Doors is seeking a passionate and energetic Youth Resiliency Facilitator to join our Youth Resiliency Program serving youth ages 12–24 throughout the Camrose & Camrose County Area .
Working alongside our Lead Youth Resiliency Facilitator, you will deliver engaging, evidence-informed programming that helps young people develop resilience, strengthen life skills, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential.

What You'll Do
As a Youth Resiliency Facilitator, you will:
- Deliver engaging resiliency workshops and youth development activities in schools and community settings.
- Facilitate leadership, volunteer, and community engagement opportunities for youth.
- Support participants through mentoring, goal setting, and positive youth engagement.
- Assist with targeted Rise Up cohort activities and participant retention.
- Promote positive youth development and healthy protective factors.
- Build positive relationships with youth, caregivers, schools, and community partners.
- Assist with community outreach, recruitment, and program promotion.
- Maintain participant documentation, attendance records, and evaluation data.
- Contribute to program planning, curriculum implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Education
Diploma, Degree, or equivalent experience in one of the following (or a related discipline):
- Child & Youth Care
- Human Services
- Social Work
- Psychology
- Education
- Community Development
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience working with youth.
- Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or community activities.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
- Experience in community-based programming is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Positive Youth Development, resiliency, and trauma-informed practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Working Conditions
This position involves work in office, school, community, and outreach settings throughout the Camrose & Camrose County. Occasional evening and weekend work is required, along with regular local travel.
Conditions of Employment
Successful applicants must possess:
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Child Intervention Record Check
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Clear Driver's Abstract (3 years)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
