La Rosa Jewelry is seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis. This position is ideal for a retired or semi-retired jeweler looking to stay active, earn extra income, and work in a relaxed, professional environment.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and can independently perform common jewelry repairs and adjustments.
Nature of the Work
This position primarily involves straightforward repair and maintenance work rather than complex custom fabrication. Typical tasks include:
- Replacing and soldering jump rings
- Chain repairs
- Clasp replacements
- Ring sizing
- Bracelet adjustments
- Basic soldering and repair work
- Polishing and finishing
Most repairs are simple, repetitive bench tasks suitable for an experienced jeweler who can work efficiently while maintaining excellent quality standards.

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bench Jeweler or Goldsmith
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience performing jewelry repairs and sizing
- Comfortable with soldering, polishing, and finishing work
- Experience working with gold-filled, sterling silver, and gold jewelry
- Knowledge of proper soldering and repair techniques for gold-filled jewelry
- Retired and semi-retired jewelers are strongly encouraged to apply
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
Compensation
$25–$50 per hour, depending on experience, efficiency, and quality of work.
This role is ideal for an experienced jeweler who can work independently and complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Highly skilled candidates who demonstrate strong productivity and craftsmanship may qualify for compensation at the upper end of the pay range.
