MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Graduate from a Canadian accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program.
- CMRTIO registration.
- ARDMS Echocardiography is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism in interpersonal relations.
- Evidence of organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, work well under pressure and show flexibility.
- Registered with College of Medical Technologists of Ontario.
- Registration with the College of American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (asset).
- Registration with Sonography Canada (asset).
- 3-5 years of recent and related experience (asset).
- Demonstrated maintenance of CME credits required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills required, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of use of Phillips Epiq CVx or similar (big asset)
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures using independent judgment.
- Prepare the preliminary reports for Echo.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of procedures.
- Prepares for examinations by checking equipment and inventorying and restocking supplies; reviewing clinic schedules; reading physician orders for specific. examinations; setting up equipment and entering patient information into system.
- Reduces patient anxieties by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing assistance to examination.
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Experience:
- Echo Tech: 3 years (preferred)
