Job Description
Planit Green Landscapes is a growing landscape construction company specializing in high-end residential outdoor spaces. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Foreman/woman to lead our maintenance team in Brantford, ON.
The Maintenance Foreman/woman will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, managing a small crew, maintaining high-end residential properties, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Planit Green's quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the maintenance crew on a daily basis
- Plan and organize daily maintenance activities and crew schedules
- Perform and oversee lawn cutting, trimming, edging, and blowing
- Complete garden bed maintenance, weeding, pruning, and seasonal cleanups
- Oversee planting, mulching, fertilizing, and other landscape maintenance tasks
- Identify and address property maintenance needs and communicate issues to management
- Ensure properties are maintained to a high standard and meet client expectations
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power equipment
- Train, direct, and support crew members
- Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed efficiently
- Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Complete daily job reports, time tracking, and required documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients when required
- Follow all company safety procedures and ensure crew members do the same
- Help ensure maintenance services are completed on schedule and to Planit Green's quality standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of landscape maintenance experience
- Previous foreman or crew lead experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices
- Experience operating commercial landscape equipment
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a small crew
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically able to perform demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence required
- Clean driving record is an asset
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
