About the Opportunity
InstaCares.com is a local childcare marketplace connecting families with trusted childcare providers across the Waterloo Region. We are seeking experienced Babysitters, Caregivers, and Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) who are passionate about supporting children in safe, engaging, and nurturing environments.
As an independent childcare provider, you will have the flexibility to create your own schedule, set your preferred hourly rates, and accept bookings that match your availability and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive, and nurturing care for children within your selected age groups.
- Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, educational activities, and outdoor play.
- Maintain a positive, engaging, and secure environment for children.
- Follow family instructions regarding routines, meals, and childcare requirements.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding schedules, activities, and care updates.
- Maintain accurate availability through the platform scheduling system.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Previous experience in babysitting, childcare, daycare, camp counselling, nannying, or early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to child safety and well-being.
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification is considered an asset.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (completed within the last five years or willingness to obtain one).
