Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our powersports dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to completion. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership or mechanic experience and be comfortable upselling services to meet customer needs while maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival at the service department.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance services clearly, ensuring customer understanding.
- Prepare repair orders, estimate costs, and communicate timelines effectively.
- Coordinate with the service technicians to prioritize work and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Upsell additional services or products that benefit the customer’s vehicle health while maintaining trust.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Assist in promoting dealership services through effective communication and sales techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or mechanic background is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of powersports and or automotive systems and repair processes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Sales experience, including upselling services in a professional manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Organized with attention to detail in managing repair orders and documentation.
- Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with dealership standards.
