Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Administrator to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will support the mortgage process by managing documentation, coordinating communications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Duties
- Handling Inbound and Outbound calls, emails, and faxes with external parties in regard to mortgage/equipment financing applications, file status, and miscellaneous inquiries.
- Providing administrative assistance & Scheduling meetings of the employer and co-workers.
- Providing administrative support to the team through the day-to-day administration of equipment financing/mortgage applications, renewals, and ongoing servicing of the files.
- Develop and maintain manual and computer-aided information filing systems.
- Greet Visitors, ascertain the nature of business, and direct visitors to the employer or appropriate person.
- Draft the discharge statements and process the mortgage payments and renewals.
- Scrutiny documentation for compliance with file-specific conditions and following up with the mortgage broker for outstanding conditions in the mortgage commitment.
- Conduct routine follow-ups with the broker and underwriter to collect any outstanding documentation.
- Ensuring that all transactions are funded on time.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in business, administration, or related business program
- Experience of 1 to 2 years in mortgage administration dealing with A, B side and or private lending or office administration in financial services.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute under structured timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret income statements based on information provided by the borrower, knowledge of Filogix/velocity is highly desirable
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and an ability to adapt to our internal software systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with borrowers, insurers, solicitors, and internal and borrowing staff, including the ability to read credit reports
- Attentive to detail with effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Shall demonstrate the highest standards of integrity & ethical conduct.
- Work well in a team environment and have confidence in dealing with people and addressing concerns to the best of your ability.
