We are building a scalable national revenue engine and are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development & Revenue Lead to drive growth, close strategic deals, and structure our expanding sales division.
Position Overview
This is a leadership role with execution responsibility.
You will spearhead business development initiatives, personally lead high-value sales meetings, build and mentor a sales team (internal and overseas responders), and create the systems, materials, and processes required to scale revenue nationwide.
This role combines strategic thinking, negotiation expertise, operational coordination, and hands-on deal closing.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue & Strategic Growth
- Lead the development and execution of national business development strategies aligned with company goals
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
- Close high-value B2B accounts across 3PL, warehousing, LTL, and white-glove delivery
- Expand DelGate’s footprint across major Canadian provinces
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Assist HR with hiring, onboarding, and structuring the sales team
- Train and mentor inside sales responders (local and overseas)
- Develop sales scripts, call frameworks, and objection-handling guides
- Create onboarding programs and demo walkthrough materials
- Establish KPIs and accountability systems
Sales Enablement & Materials
- Create and refine pitch decks, proposals, and pricing presentations
- Develop case studies and sales one-pagers
- Produce demo videos and sales walkthrough content
- Build structured sales playbooks and CRM workflows
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Manage and optimize the sales pipeline using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Ensure accurate tracking of prospects and client interactions
- Analyze performance data to improve conversion rates and deal velocity
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with operations and marketing to align service capabilities with client needs
- Support marketing campaigns that drive qualified leads
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure seamless execution of growth strategies
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven success in Canadian logistics, 3PL, or transportation sales
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, distribution, LTL, and last-mile operations
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets
- Experience building, mentoring, or leading sales teams
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales reporting
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and planning skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
