We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of our clients through therapeutic touch and personalized care.
Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to meet individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess client conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of client treatments, progress, and any changes in their conditions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide aftercare recommendations.
- Uphold a clean and safe work environment by adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices through continuous education.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist in Ontario.
- Proficiency in medical terminology to accurately assess client needs and document treatments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their preferences.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in a spa or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
