Position: Paint Prepper | Location: Milton, ON (401 & James Snow Parkway)

Duties:
Refinish, prepare & mask off transit bus & highway coach bodies using various sander and surface treatment equipment as well as air and power tools
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting repaired body components to be painted and assuring they are properly prepared prior to the application of paint
- Application of various body primers and epoxy’s
- Feather edging of various components throughout bodies
- Masking off various areas of the body from overspray
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Under supervision, the successful candidate must be able to perform quality body refinishing techniques on transit bus and highway coaches
- Job task planning & organizing
- Written & verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, significant use of memory
- Self-motivated, persistent & flexible
- 1-2 years auto/body refinishing experience is preferred
- Vision abilities required include close, distance & color vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat & climb
- Ability to lift 1-20 pounds (hand tools, small panels, etc.)
- Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks
- Possible exposure to toxic chemicals
- Moderate noise levels
- Respirators must be worn & other protective equipment may be required
- May be required to work overtime (more than 45 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

- Our facility is just off the Highway 401 in Milton – easy commuter access.
- Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM - no nights or weekends!!!!
- Work indoors during cold winter months
