Overview
We have a part-time position that we are currently looking to fill here at the Never Board! It is an all-encompassing restaurant role, including both front-of-house (bartending/serving) and back-of-house duties (cooking/cleaning), as well as requires interaction with guests regarding board game recommendations, so is perfect for someone who has worked in the restaurant industry and has a love of board games. It is also a position requiring you to be alone at some times, so maturity is essential. If you've got an upbeat, likeable personality and high energy, and want to work in a restaurant atmosphere surrounded by fun, then this could be the job for you! Shift start times range from noon to 6:30, and can go as late as 1:30am. Position will offer 1-3 shifts per week. Pay starts at $19/hr plus tips.
Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Craft and serve our house cocktails and feature beverages as well as cafe options and beers.
- Cook a variety of foods to a high level of quality.
- Maintain a clean work environment and restaurant.
- Interact with guests to identify their needs/desires from games and then make appropriate recommendations and helping guide through setup and rules.
- Supervise other staff on your shift and manage labor costs.
- End-of-day requirements, resetting and locking up the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Excellent oral use of the english language.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Familiarity with serving, bartending or cooking is an asset but not required.
- Time management, logical thinking, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, specifically evenings and weekends as needed.
- Comfortability working alone as well as with others.
*Smart serve, Food-handlers certification, and First aid will be required, but can be obtained after the hiring process.
