Job Summary
Kawaii Crepe is looking for a motivated and energetic Assistant Manager-in-Training to help lead daily operations at our restaurant. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent customer service skills, experience in food service or hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role involves supporting staff performance, ensuring a positive guest experience, assisting with scheduling and inventory, and helping maintain the fun, welcoming atmosphere Kawaii Crepe is known for. This position is designed for someone looking to develop their leadership skills and train to become a Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise, support, and motivate team members while maintaining high standards of customer service and food quality.
- Ensure all crepes, drinks, and menu items are prepared consistently and presented to Kawaii Crepe standards.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and feedback in a professional and friendly manner.
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and daily cash-outs with accuracy.
- Assist with scheduling, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health standards throughout the store.
- Support promotions, special features, and marketing initiatives to help drive sales and customer engagement.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including reporting, record keeping, and daily operational checklists.
- Help create a positive, team-oriented work environment that reflects the Kawaii Crepe brand and culture.
- Participate in hands-on management training with the goal of advancing into a Store Manager role.
Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience in food service, hospitality, or retail environments preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to lead by example.
- Food handling certification is considered an asset.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and creating great customer experiences.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a management position.
