Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and cargo across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulatory requirements. The AZ Driver will also be involved in supporting warehouse operations and may operate heavy equipment as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport freight to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Assist with warehouse duties, including organizing and securing cargo for transit
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues on the vehicle
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
Requirements
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Experience with freight transportation and commercial driving operations
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and perform automotive repairs is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in transportation
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo, operate heavy machinery, and perform vehicle inspections
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is desirable but not mandatory
