Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and experienced Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive driving instruction to students, ensuring they develop safe and confident driving skills. This role involves teaching both theoretical knowledge and practical driving techniques, with an emphasis on safety, communication, and technical understanding of various vehicle types. The Driving Instructor will play a vital role in preparing new drivers for licensing and safe road use, contributing to community safety and driver education excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct driving lessons for students of varying skill levels.
- Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Demonstrate proper vehicle operation, including handling automatic transmissions.
- Teach essential driving skills such as maneuvering, parking, and navigating traffic laws.
- Ensure all lessons adhere to safety standards and legal requirements.
- Provide students' evaluations daily.
- Communicate effectively with students to provide constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Stay updated on traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices in driver education.
- Assist students in preparing for licensing exams by reviewing test procedures and requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (min 5 years) with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills to effectively instruct and engage students.
- Fluency in a second language is an asset, not a requirement.
- Ability to teach both theoretical concepts and practical driving skills confidently.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating professionalism and patience.
