Job Summary
UCMAS Beaumont is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Part-Time Abacus & Mental Math Tutor to teach children aged 4–13 years. Training and curriculum will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for university students, graduates, or individuals who enjoy working with children and have strong math and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach UCMAS Abacus & Mental Math classes following the UCMAS curriculum.
- Create a fun, engaging, and positive learning environment.
- Guide students in improving concentration, memory, and mental math skills.
- Track attendance and mark classwork and homework.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom.
- Participate in training sessions and centre events.
Qualifications
- Strong basic math skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children.
- Teaching or tutoring experience is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to complete UCMAS training.
- Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.
Work Schedule
- Saturdays (primary schedule)
- Additional weekday evening hours may be available.
