SPB Solutions Inc. is looking for a PLANT MECHANIC / MILLWRIGHT in Petersburg, Ontario to perform the maintenance and repairs of our equipment (containers, hoists, hydraulic systems, welding. We are looking for a reliable and autonomous person, able to work indoor & outdoor conditions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Service, Repair, Welding, Overhaul, Machinery installation.
- Maintaining machinery and equipment, Adjusting machinery and equipment, Start-up and testing, Shutdown operations, Troubleshooting, Bearing, seals and packing, Operation of computer-controlled equipment, Welding, Hydraulics.
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Repair and replace defective machinery parts, Maintenance or set-up, perform routine maintenance work on machinery, Install machinery and mechanic equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, Reading electrical, mechanical and hydraulics schematics, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Customer service oriented, Continuous learning.
- Ability to lift 25kg, work from heights, and varying work environment conditions
- Type of Machinery and Equipment: Feed mill, Conveyers, Pumps and compressors, Grinders, Welding equipment, Heat exchangers, Automated systems, Electrical and electronic controls, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems.
Your assets:
- 3+ years experience a strong asset
- Completion of high school, College / vocational or technical training
- Credential (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Industrial Electrician / Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Must be safety conscious
- Skill to troubleshoot solutions when problems arise
- Excellent team player
- Great communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be punctual and personable
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical including drug test.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to work in diverse site environments, including exposure to dust, noise, odors, temperature extremes, and heights.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6h30am-15h30pm + evenings and/or weekend availabilities when needed
Hourly rate : 38,49$ to 44,74$
