Express is seeking an experienced Saw Operator / Parts Fabricator for a client in St. Thomas, ON
What’s in it for you?
$23/hour based on experience – Day shift with occasional overtime
Ongoing work with potential for permanent hire for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, store, handle, cut, and ship metal to meet shop and customer requirements
· Fabricate metal parts using drills, saws, ironworker, milling machine, cutting torch, and plasma equipment
· Read and interpret blueprints and shop instructions
· Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
· Work on multiple assignments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
· Apply all safety procedures while operating machinery and hand tools
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently
· Maintain a professional and positive attitude with employees, vendors, and customers
Qualifications & Requirements
· Previous experience in metal fabrication, saw operation, or industrial manufacturing
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
· Basic understanding of angles and measurements
· Experience with Band Saw, Torch, Plasma, and Shear cutting equipment
· Knowledge of notching, punching, press brake functions, and rolling equipment is considered an asset
· Familiarity with various material types including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
