Job Summary
At Lane One Homes Ltd. We create innovation for the next generation of housing. We factory-produce our wood and steel-framed modular homes and provide on-site installation. We handle everything from the delivery of the unit to the final finishing touches. We are currently seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team.
The Role
As our Electrician, you are responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical components throughout the buildings. Working primarily in our factory environment—with occasional on-site installation work—you will ensure all electrical components meet code and quality standards. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday.
Duties
- Plan layouts and installations of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
- Take measurements and estimate materials needed.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Connect intermodular wires.
- Complete rough-ins and final finishing (installing devices, fixtures, and cover plates), followed by comprehensive final testing of all systems.
- Appliance hook-up.
- Inspect materials and electrical systems to identify issues, repair or replace defective components as necessary.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, plumbers, and roofers to coordinate production schedules and assist other trades when necessary
- Use of power and hand tools to cut and install materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area, manage the safe storage of tools and materials, and dispose of waste.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Red Seal Certification (required)
- Electrical FSRC certification (required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects over 50lbs
- Knowledge of completing hazard assessments, inspections or the use of SiteDocs
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work tasks
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in teams as well as independently
Other Certifications/License:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of post-ticket (Journeyperson) experience in residential construction.
