JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide Pilates instruction for up to twelve (12) clients per class, pursuant to Club Pilates methodologies and standards on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, Reformer, Springboard, EXO chair, Ball, Hand Weights, etc. to ensure a safe, yet creative experience.
- Provide Pilates instruction for Private, Semi-Private, Intro Classes or other additional sessions, as needed and directed, pursuant to Club Pilates standards.
- Adhere to studio standards for instructors’ arrival prior to the beginning of their scheduled group and private/semi-private classes.
- Assist Lead Instructor with planning and execution of all member workshops.
- Participate in all studio scheduled instructor workshops.
- Ensure proper equipment set up for each class/session.
- Maintain opening and closing procedures, equipment maintenance and inspection protocols and ensure that studio is in good working order and safe for staff and members.
- Actively participate in the maintenance of a clean and orderly workout environment
- Proactively collaborate with members in helping them to achieve specific goals, designing and implementing customized strategies as required, including for those members belonging to Special Populations (e.g., Health conditions and/ or injuries)
- Follow all studio protocols regarding availability, scheduling, and substitution of classes providing required notice for absences.
- Assist with membership retention by building value and engaging with clients during instruction.
- Building studio revenue by promoting retail and membership sales and services such as Private/Semi- private training and member workshops
- Performing extra duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Comprehensive Club Pilates Certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated anatomical knowledge and attention to safety.
- Demonstrated group reformer instruction abilities with aptitude to modify for different individuals in class.
- Passion for learning and willingness to complete continued education trainings and/or workshops.
- Strong reasoning ability. Must be able to think and process information quickly, clearly, and accurately and be able to solve problems calmly and logically at times under pressure.

- Energetic, positive, and motivational teaching style
- Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises
- Punctual, dependable, and dedicated. Understand and adhere to studio protocol and policy for planned/unplanned absences, securing a replacement instructor with sufficient notice to avoid cancellation of classes.
- Desire to be a part of a successful business in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Focus on customer service and member experience, with demonstrated professional and effective communication skills.
- Previous Customer Service experience considered an asset.
- Ability to learn Club Pilates proprietary IT systems and class flow formats.
- Current CPR and First Aid training
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
