Intermediate Estimator — Air Chek Industries (British Columbia)
Air Chek Industries is expanding into British Columbia. We are a trusted HVAC manufacturer representative and supplier with over 40 years of experience supporting mechanical and sheet metal contractors, consulting engineers, and manufacturing partners across Western Canada. Air Chek provides bid and specification support, technical and application expertise, and disciplined project coordination—supporting commercial and industrial projects from early design and bidding through procurement, delivery, and post-installation support.
Position Overview
As an Estimator with Air Chek BC, you will support commercial and industrial HVAC projects from initial bid through execution. This role includes HVAC take-offs, pricing and quoting, along with purchasing, order entry, and customer service support. You will work closely with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to ensure projects are quoted accurately and executed smoothly.

Reporting to: Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit project bids using Air Chek’s established estimating and bidding processes
- Perform HVAC and ventilation take-offs using estimating software
- Price represented products and prepare accurate quotations for local projects
- Negotiate and secure orders in line with company margin and service standards
- Manage assigned projects from bid award through execution using Air Chek’s project management processes
- Support purchasing and order entry activities to ensure accurate and timely project execution
- Serve as a product expert for customers, engineers, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sheet metal contractors, mechanical contractors, engineers, and end users
- Solicit and analyze customer feedback related to product performance and value
- Meet and strive to exceed sales targets and standard margin goals
- Develop and implement action plans to resolve conflicts, scheduling challenges, and timeline issues
- Participate in industry events, including conferences and SMCNA events
- Identify, monitor, and respond to project and operational risks
Qualifications & Experience
- HVAC or Sheet Metal Ticket, Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in estimating, sales, or project management
- Strong blueprint comprehension and understanding of HVAC and sheet metal systems
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam or similar tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Working knowledge of sheet metal design

Pay: From $68,000.00 per year
