Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction electrical work, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation and new installations, utilizing a wide range of tools and technical skills.
Eventually I want this person to my main guy helping the company grow to start bringing on apprentices to teach.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in residential settings, including low voltage
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and system upgrades.
- Work on renovation projects by upgrading existing electrical systems or installing new wiring in commercial or industrial facilities.
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Residential proficiency and some commercial work
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving existing electrical systems.
- Previous handyman experience or general construction background is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
Pay: $35.50-$42.50 per hour
