Responsibilities
- Carefully receive and handle live seafood products, ensuring proper storage and maintenance of freshness.
- Prepare seafood for display by cutting, cleaning, sorting, and packaging(fish, crab and lobster) according to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized seafood section, including tanks, display cases, and workstations.
- Assist customers with selecting live seafood, offering knowledgeable advice on preparation and cooking.
- Monitor live seafood tanks for health, cleanliness, and appropriate water conditions; perform regular checks and adjustments.
- Follow all food safety protocols during handling, packaging, and storage to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the seafood department during busy hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in the seafood department is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, especially related to seafood or meat cutting.
- Experience with butchery or meat cutting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices.
- Ability to handle live seafood delicately while maintaining product quality.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.0 – 36.0 per week
Experience:
- seafood department: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
